I'm a brand voice strategist and copywriter for wedding pros who are ready to feel confident in their online presence & excited about their business again.
As an SEO copywriter, I dive deep into who my clients are and who they want to work with so I can find the absolute best keywords to help them connect with the right people. That’s like, 75% of my job, actually. So of course, I have an arsenal of SEO tools I use to help me narrow down my search and create the most optimized copy that still sounds like them and not a boring AI rendition of who they think they should be… but that’s a soap box for another time.
If you struggle with SEO or have yet to find an SEO tool that makes sense for your brain, let me introduce you to 4 of my absolute favorites that I can’t live without!

Ubersuggest is my go-to SEO tool for a few reasons. First of all, it offers three free searches per day, so it was a very accessible option when I was first starting out. But mostly, I use it for the site audit tool.
Any time a new client inquires, no matter what service they’re interested in, I run their website through a site audit. This audit gives me a general idea of how well their website is doing. It ranks everything, from an all-encompassing SEO score to their site speed and load time. The Ubersuggest site audit also tells me how many visitors they receive through organic search per month, how many keywords they have, and shows me all of their backlinks.
Once I have this information, I can make informed suggestions based on what’s happening under the surface of their website. And then I can dive into keyword research. Ubersuggest offers bulk keyword analysis (showing me the volume and competition for each word), keyword recommendations based on the keywords I enter, and project-specific keyword lists to track how a word’s volume and difficulty change over time.
Keywords Everywhere is a plugin that has made my life 10x easier. It offers many of the same abilities as Ubersuggest, but does so right from your browser. I use it to quickly check a website’s search position for a specific keyword, or to see how many keywords it ranks for.
However, its true value to me is showing me the volume and competition of a keyword directly beneath the search bar. It makes it much easier (and faster) to get information about certain words. Then, it offers trend data for that word and similar keywords that might be worth looking at.
This single SEO tool cut my research time in half.
SEO Minion is another plug-in by Keywords Everywhere that gives me the info I need quickly and easily. It checks the on-page SEO for any website, showing me the title tag, meta description, headings, and links on the current page. I also use it to preview how a webpage looks on Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs), and check where it shows up on those SERPs. The closer it is to the top, the better!
Having keywords is great. But you need to see how they’re actually impacting your website traffic to make informed decisions about your marketing. Google Search Console lets you do that.
Through GSC, you can:
I keep track of all of my clients in GSC so I can make suggestions about their website copy and blog strategy. Then we can see how changes impact their overall performance.
SEO is one of those things you hear a lot about and pretend to understand because actually figuring out what it does and why it matters feels too intimidating. But don’t let the SEO bros scare you. Search Engine Optimization (and its quickly-growing brother, AI Engine Optimization) are really very simple. It’s the practice of building your website intentionally so search engines can easily understand who you are and what you do so it can place you in the correct search results.
For example, if your ideal clients are searching for a wedding florist near them, we want to make sure your website has keywords that a search engine can look at and say, “Hey, this website is for a wedding florist in that area, I’ll make sure it’s in the search results.”
The trick is making sure your website is search engine optimized without making it impossible for real people to read and enjoy. SEO copywriting really has two jobs. First, make sure search engines know what you do so it can connect you with the right people. Second, write copy that feels so warm and genuine that when people find your website, they’re immediately drawn to your services and inquire.
It’s simple.
But it’s not always easy.
I’ve spent the last four years perfecting the balance between optimizing content and matching it to your brand voice. Because you can’t have one without the other. If you focus all your energy on optimization, you use the human touch that makes clients actually want to work with you. If you ignore optimization altogether, couples will never get the chance to land on your website and inquire, because they won’t know you exist.
This is what I do. I help you develop your voice so you sound distinct in an ever-growing market, and I optimize your content so you show up in all the right searches.
